Anti-lock brake

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable each wheel to be subjected to anti-lock control, while achieving simple constitution thereof, by connecting one oil pressure regulator to a wheel cylinder of each of the wheels and reducing a pressure of braking oil when the front wheels running faster than the rear ones are locked. CONSTITUTION:A master cylinder 1 for two systems is connected to a primary braking oil pressure chamber 6 of an oil pressure regulator 5. A piston 11 is hydraulically moved inwards to actuate a piston 12 via a rod 10. An oil pressure thereby produced in a secondary oil pressure chamber 14 is transmitted to a wheel cylinder 23 of a rear wheel via a wheel cylinder 19 of a front wheel and a proportion control valve 21. An oil pressure in a controlling oil pressure chamber 13 of the oil pressure regulator 5 pushes back the pistons 11 for reducing the braking oil pressure. The oil pressure in the controlling oil pressure chamber 13 is generated by solenoid valves 26, 27 when the front wheels running faster than the rear ones are locked. Locking of the front and rear wheels is thereby prevented.
