Manufacture of heating roll for fixation

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a fixation roll which has no pinhole and is excellent in the wear proof property, by forming an offset preventing layer of a heating roll for fixation toner image by heat and fusion after spherical perfluoroalkoxy resin powder is coated. CONSTITUTION:Powder of almost spherical perfluoroalkoxy resin (PFA resin) which is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and perfluoroalkylperfluorovinylether is electrostatically charged with charge and adhered to a heating roll 11 by spraying, etc. Then, the powder is heated so as to adhere the powder to the roll 11 and with each other by fusion to produce the offset preventing layer 12. Therefore, the preventing layer 12 having no pinhole and excellent wear proof property is formed, and thus, a heating roll for fixation preventing layer 12 to exfoliate and having an excellent durability is obtained.
