Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To facilitate providing accuracy, working component parts and adjusting assembly, by a method wherein a platen is provided with an L-shaped cross section, and a positioning abutting part is provided at a rear part of a vertical part of the platen. CONSTITUTION:The platen 3 comprises a metallic part 3a having an L-shaped cross section and formed of, e.g., a steel plate and a rubber part 3b baked to the vertical part of the metallic part 3a and formed of, e.g., NBR or SBR. A horizontal part of the metallic part 3a is provided with a small hole 4, is fitted to a downward projection provided on a frame 5 of the printer, and is supported while being restricted in its lower position by a small screw 7 engaged from below through a washer 8. On the other hand, the vertical part of the metallic part 3a is restricted in its rear position by the positioning abutting part 9 provided on the frame 5 of the printer. A printing head 11 is supported by a support member 12, and is provided with dot form heating elements at a part faced to the rubber part 3b of the platen 3.
