Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the handling ability and reliability by providing a circle- rectangle converter provided with a semiconductor radio wave absorbing body made of solicon carbide having a metallized layer for soldering. CONSTITUTION:The radio wave absorbing body 11 made of a silicon carbide having a volume resistivity of, e.g., 1-10OMEGA-cm is arranged in the inside of the circle-rectangle converter 10. The absorbing body 11 is formed in matching with the converter 10 by cutting or lapping, and after the metallized layer 12 coated with silver for soldering on at least broadwise both side faces is formed, the layer 12 is soldered to the converter 10. Thus, the durability and ease of manufacturability are improved.
