Polymeric composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:A composition, obtained by incorporating an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer with an ethylenic ionomer resin, and having both improved oil and scratch resistance and surface gloss. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. thermoplastic elastomer consisting of a polyolefin resin and ethylene-alpha-olefinic copolymer rubber, and at least one thereof being partially crosslinked with (B) 10- 100pts.wt., preferably 15-99pts.wt. ethylenic ionomer resin. Propylene is used as the polyolefin resin of the component (A). An ethylenic ionomer resin obtained by neutralizing 5-80mol% carboxylic acid groups of an ethylenic copolymer, consisting of 75-99.5mol% ethylenic units and 0.5-15mol% alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid units with mono--trivalent metallic ions is used as the component (B).
