Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to fold a large size sheet with the use of a small size sheet holding device for folding a large size sheet such as a large drawing sheet or the like, by carrying out changeover control of a guide mechanism between a feed roller and a group of operating rollers. CONSTITUTION:The leading end SH of a sheet S is fed out from between a pair of upper operating rollers 31, 32 by means of feed rollers 21, 22 and a guide mechanism 4 arranged at an upper position. When the folding position reaches the front end 44 of the guide mechanism 4, a group of operating rollers 31-33 are reversed while the guide mechanism 4 is changed over into a lower position to form a fold line F1 in the sheet S between the pair of the lower operating rollers 31, 33. Further, when the folding position reaches the front end of the guide mechanism 4, the group of operating rollers 31 are normally rotated to change over the guide mechanism into the upper position so that it is superposed on the leading end SH of the sheet to form a second fold line 2. Thus, it is possible to surely fold a large size sheet in a required condition by use of a small size sheet folding device.
