Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve portability and operability by providing a 1st grip part formed covering one flank of a lens barrel and a release button adjoining to it and also providing a 2nd grip part against the pressing direction of the release button. CONSTITUTION:A projection part (d) wherein a capacitor 4 is put is formed at the lower part of the right flank of a camera body 1 and a recessed part 1g is formed between the end surface 1e of the projection part 1d and the lower ridge 1f of the right flank 1c. This camera body 1 is held by applying the thumb to the recessed part 1g of the right flank 1c, inserting the middle finger, ring finger, and little finger into a grip part, and applying the index finger to a shutter release button 7 gently. At this time, the index finger is locked by a projection wall 8c and prevented from falling to the front of the lens. Consequently, the camera body 1 is received by the V-shaped ridge formed of the index finger and thumb and the palm connecting with them to eliminate one- sided holding completely. The projection part which is pressed with the thumb facing against the depression direction A of the release button 7 and applied with B-directional force is used as a 2nd grip part to preclude a shake at the time of releasing the shutter.
