Abstract
Abstract THIS INVENTION IS CONCERNED WITH A BAG SEALING METHOD WHEREIN A THERMOPLASTIC POWDER IS UTILIZED TO HERMETICALLY SEAL THE SEWN END OF A BAG INCLUDING THE GUSSETS. THE SEAL IS EFFECTED BY THE APPLICATION OF HEAT AND PRESSURE TO THE THERMOPLASTIC POWDER COATED AREAS. THE APPLICATION OF HEAT AND PRESSURE CAUSES SOME OF THE THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL TO MIGRATE INTO AND THROUGH THE SEWN PORTION SO AS TO PRODUCE A DURABLE HERMETIC SEAL.
