A normally solid polyolefin composition containing as the polyolefin a polymer selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polypropylene, copolymers of ethylene and l-olefins of more than 2 carbon atoms, copolymers of propylene and l-olefins of more than 3 carbon atoms and blends thereof and a stabilizing amount of a mixture of nickel dialkyl dithiocarbamate and 2-hydroxy-4-octyloxybenzophenone in which the alkyl groups of the nickel dialkyl dithiocarbamate contain 4 to 6 carbon atoms and in which the weight ratio of nickel dialkyl dithiocarbamate to 2-hydrozy-4-octyloxybenzophenone is within the range of about 1:1 to 20:1 .
