Abstract AN ENCASING PROCESS FOR PRESS ELECTRODE SEMICONDUCTOR COMPONENTS CONSISTING OF MAKING THE ELECTRODES UNDERGO PRESTRESS AT A PRESSURE HIGHER THAN THAT WHICH THEY WOULD HAVE TO UNDERGO DURING NORMAL OPERATION BEFORE PLACING THEM ON THE COMPONENT AND POLISHING THE SURFACES OF THE ELECTRODES WHICH ARE TO BE APPLIED TO THE SEMICONDUCTOR COMPONENT.
