Abstract
Abstract The crease resistant properties of cellulosic fabrics is improved by rendering the fabrics highly resistant to both wet and dry wrinkling without serious detriment to fabric tensile strength, tear strength and flex abrasion resistance. This is accomplished by including dimethyl sulfoxide as an essential ingredient in the aqueous solution used to treat a cellulosic fabric with a nitrogen-containing water-soluble organic creaseproofing material.
