Abstract
Abstract A control mechanism in a keyboard of a data terminal device in which a key lock, when manually rotated in one direction, will selectively lock out one of a number of control keys on a keyboard, and when rotated in the opposite direction, will selectively lock out others of the remaining control keys. Both lock out conditions are released by the energizing of a solenoid at the end of a machine operation. A second solenoid energized upon the initiation of a machine operation locks the control keys in their operated position during the machine operation.
