Abstract
Abstract The present invention relates to a technique for introducing iodine into a tungsten halogen lamp in the form of a compound which is an involatile solid at room temperature. In accordance with this invention the iodine is introduced in the form of a complex metal or complex ammonium iodide which is dissociated or decomposed by heat. These complexes contain iodine in coordinated complex anions.
