Abstract
Abstract Motion picture apparatus with removable cartridge having a housing with a cartridge removably mounted in the housing. An aperture is provided in the cartridge. A length of film is disposed within the cartridge and means is provided for advancing the length of film frame by frame past the aperture. Means is mounted in the cartridge and exposed to a source of light for supplying light to the film on the side of the film opposite the aperture. An optical assembly is mounted on the housing in front of the aperture for forming an image of the film as it is advanced in the cartridge.

In a motion picture apparatus, a housing, a cartridge removably mounted in said housing, said cartridge being formed with an aperture, a length of film disposed in the cartridge, means for advancing said length of film frame by frame past the aperture in the cartridge, means mounted in the cartridge and adapted to be exposed to light for supplying light to the film on the side of the film opposite the aperture, and an optical assembly mounted in the housing in the front of the aperture in the cartrIdge to form an image of the film as it is advanced in the cartridge, said cartridge being formed with a ramp in alignment with the driven member and serving to cause shifting of the cartridge so that the driven member will clear the drive member as the cartridge is inserted into the housing.

In a motion picture apparatus for use with a cartridge and an auxiliary light source in a case having opaque planar side walls and having at least a portion of one side wall opposite the light source being formed to permit light to pass therethrough, a housing, said housing being formed with first and second spaced parallel side walls, spaced parallel bottom and top walls and a front wall, said housing being open at the rear and being adapted to receive the cartridge, a window formed in one of the first and second side walls of the housing for admitting light into the housing, an optical assembly mounted on the front wall of the housing for forming an image of the film in the cartridge within the housing, a drive member rotably mounted in one wall of the housing, and means mounted on the housing for driving the drive member, said side wall of the housing having said window therein being substantially planar and being formed so as to receive said case and retain said case on said housing with the side wall of the case having light passing therethrough being adjacent said side wall having said window therein whereby said case forms a substantially light-tight enclosure in combination with said housing and whereby said case is exclusively exterior of the housing, said case being formed with hook-like portions and said wall of the housing with said window therein having slots for receiving said hook-like portions.
