Abstract
Abstract The weaving machine is provided with control elements which are flexed or moved between one of two positions by magnetic, electrical or thermal forces as to program the movement of the healds in forming a shed. The use of jacquard cards to interdict or to permit dropping of jacquard needles connected to the healds can thus be eliminated. The control elements are used in singlelift and in double-lift jacquard mechanism.
