Abstract THE MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF POLYALKENAMERS PRODUCED BY RING-OPENING POLYMERIZATION OF CYCLIC OLEFINS EMPLOYING A CATALYST CONTAINING A METAL OF SUBGROUPS 5 TO 7 OF THE PERIODIC TABLE IS REGULATED BY CONDUCTING THE POLYMERIZATION IN THE PRESENCE OF A NON-CONJUGATES OLEFIN CONTAINING AT LEAST TWO NON-CONJUGATED DOUBLE BONDS, AT LEAST ONE OF WHICH IS ACYCLIC, AND 0-2 ALKYL OR ARYL GROUPS.
