Abstract
Abstract Novel flame retardant compositions of matter comprise a mixture of a polymeric material and a polyhalo-substituted polyhydropolycyclicdicarboxylic acid or anhydride thereof. These novel compositions of matter may be exemplified by a mixture of polypropylene and 5,6,7,8,9,9-hexachloro-6,7-dibromomethylene1,2,3,4,4a,5,8,8a-methano-2,3 -naphthalenedicarboxylic anhydride.
