Abstract

Abstract A method for suppression of particulate matter utilizing an aqueous solution containing a non-irritant surfactant and a polymer. The surfactant is either an amphoteric surfactant alone or in combination with an anionic surfactant. The polymer is preferably selected from the group consisting of polyacrylamide polyacrylamide and hydrolysed quaternised polyacrylamide. The solution is applied to prevent dust and particulate matter from becoming airborne.
