Abstract Novel steroids having the structure ##SPC1## And the 1,2-dehydro derivatives thereof, wherein R 1 is chlorine, fluorine, or hydroxy and R' 1 is hydrogen or R 1 and R' 1 together are =0; R 2 is hydrogen or halogen; R 3 is hydrogen, methyl, or fluorine; R 4 is hydrogen, hydroxy, ##EQU1## or halogen; R 5 and R 6 are the same or different and are hydrogen, alkyl, alkylthio, alkoxy, carboalkoxy, formyl, ##EQU2## hydroxy, halogen, phenyl or cyano, with the proviso that when R 5 and R 6 are different, one of R 5 and R 6 is hydrogen.
