Abstract
Abstract Apparatus for the detection and recording of uterine activity, particularly for use as a contraction recorder and equipped for the electromyographic detection of the electrical fields in the abdominal region inherent in muscular activity, the apparatus being composed of a system for generating a signal which essentially corresponds to the intensity of the alternating voltage component of the electromyographically derived signal, averaging this signal in time, and emitting the averaged signal as a measure for the intrauterine pressure variations.
