Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 5
Claim 1
Independent Claim 68 words
A method for manufacturing liposomes comprising the steps of: (a) relatively moving a dialysis buffer solution with respect to a liposome precursor solution to create a gradient across a permeable barrier therebetween and thereby cause the formation of liposomes within the precursor solution; and (b) optically monitoring the light transmission of the precursor solution to control the relative movement of the dialysis and precursor solutions in accordance therewith.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 68 words
A method for manufacturing liposomes comprising the steps of: (a) relatively moving a dialysis buffer solution with respect to a liposome precursor solution to create a gradient across a permeable barrier therebetween and thereby cause the formation of liposomes within the precursor solution; and (b) optically monitoring the light transmission of the precursor solution to control the relative movement of the dialysis and precursor solutions in accordance therewith.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 39 words
The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of: (c) terminating the relative movement of the dialysis and precursor solutions when the light transmission of the precursor solution reaches a predetermined stable level for a predetermined time period.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 36 words
The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of: (d) controlling the temperature of one of the precursor or dialysis solutions in accordance with the signal representative of the light transmission of the precursor solution.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 36 words
The method of claim 2 further comprising the step of: (e) controlling the temperature of one of the precursor or dialysis solutions in accordance with the signal representative of the light transmission of the precursor solution.
