Claim 1
Independent Claim
79 words
A process for forming a silicon-containing semi-conductor thin film, said process which comprises the steps of making a film-forming raw material gas containing silicon atoms as the constituent atoms in the molecule to be adsorbed in liquid form on the cooled surface of a substrate and subsequently causing the liquefied film-forming raw material to chemically react with active hydrogen atoms to thereby solidify the silicon-containing material and form a silicon-containing semiconductor thin film on the surface of the substrate.
