Abstract
Abstract A developing unit usable with and removably mounted on a copier, printer, facsimile machine or similar image recording apparatus. When the developing unit reaches the end of a predetermined service life thereof as counted in terms of, for example, the number of times that a toner end condition has occurred, it is prevented from being loaded again on the body of the image recording apparatus and, at the same time, the user is clearly informed of the time for replacement of the developing unit.
