Abstract Disclosed herein is a dye represented by the general formula ##STR1## wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are independently a radical selected from the Group B or a radical of the formula (i) or (ii), R 5 is CH 3 or COONH 4 , and R 6 , R 7 , R 8 and R 9 are independently a radical selected from the Group B or a radical of the formula (iii), with the proviso that in a molecule of the dye, the number of SO 3 NH 4 is 1 and the number of COONH 4 is 2 or 3: Group B: H, OH, CH 3 , C 1 , COONH 4 and SO 3 NH 4 ; ##STR2##
