Abstract
Abstract A medical ablation device and methods for treating canker sores wherein a flexible RF electrode comprising a fluid delivery capability is inserted into the mouth; the RF electrode being placed against and/or surrounding the canker sore region; RF energy being applied for a predetermined time and under a controlled temperature to the canker sore tissue through the electrode to cause internal lesions; and therapeutic agent being delivered to heal and/or soothe the tissues thereafter.
