Claim 1
Independent Claim 54 words
A process for producing a printing medium comprising forming an ink-receiving layer on a substrate, wherein the ink-receiving layer is formed by applying a dispersion comprising a coupling agent or a hydrolyzate thereof, an alumina hydrate, a binder and water to the substrate and then drying the dispersion to make the alumina hydrate hydrophobic.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 54 words
A process for producing a printing medium comprising forming an ink-receiving layer on a substrate, wherein the ink-receiving layer is formed by applying a dispersion comprising a coupling agent or a hydrolyzate thereof, an alumina hydrate, a binder and water to the substrate and then drying the dispersion to make the alumina hydrate hydrophobic.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 55 words
A process for producing a printing medium comprising forming an ink-receiving layer on a substrate, wherein the ink-receiving layer is formed by applying a dispersion comprising an alumina hydrate surface-treated with a coupling agent to make the alumina hydrate hydrophobic in advance and a polymerizable compound to the substrate and then polymerizing the polymerizable compound.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 55 words
A process for producing a printing medium comprising forming an ink-receiving layer on a substrate, wherein the ink-receiving layer is formed by applying a dispersion comprising an alumina hydrate surface-treated with a coupling agent to make the alumina hydrate hydrophobic in advance and a polymerizable compound to the substrate and then polymerizing the polymerizable compound.
